Master’s Course

Our program offers educational opportunities such that:

(1) Students can study the subjects of each specialized field of food industry and sciences through lectures on basic theories, lectures and exercises on practical problem solving, and case methods.

(2) Students can gain a comprehensive perspective about food industry and the food, agricultural and environmental sciences, through the lecture titled “Research Methods for Food Industry Studies” which is compulsory for first year master’s course students.

(3) Students have an alternative to complete the master’s course by submitting a report on the “Project Research” instead of submitting a master’s thesis.

Doctoral Course

Our program has educational features such that:

(1) Students can get individual tutorials by main- and sub- academic supervisors in the student’s major, and overall advice by all staff in charge of the Doctoral Program.

(2) Individual tutorial by the main- and sub- academic supervisors starts immediately after admission focusing on the research theme of the individual student.

(3) The overall advice system includes an annual interim report meeting on the doctoral research where instruction is received from professors with specialties in the various fields of food, agricultural and environmental sciences.
