授業概要

Global Studies II will extend and deepen the conversations and learnings begun in Global Studies I. None of the topics covered in that class will be repeated in this class. By taking responsibility for their own learning, students will work with other students to develop increasingly complex understandings of our world. This class will require all students to study a nation in-depth and make an English-language presentation about the nation’s role and stance in global affairs.

Students must take Global Studies I before Global Studies II.

事前・事後学修

Preparing for each class will require students to read and digest a selected text in English about each topic, answer reading comprehension questions about the text, and submit their answers digitally. Attendance in this class is strongly encouraged for students who are interested in studying overseas either short-term or long-term. A TOEIC score close to 500 is recommended. Class lectures are conducted in English and students should want to improve their listening comprehension. The weekly readings will be longer and more complex and the lectures more difficult to understand.

備考

Students must be able to access the Internet each week to participate in this class. This class will require students to create a digital presentation that can be uploaded to the Internet and viewed by others.
